COURSE DESCRIPTION
This is the second in the two-course program combining a survey course in Clinical Behavioral Medicine with an Advanced Behavioral Medicine course. This is an advanced, hands-on course -- not a course for novices (please see prerequisites below).
This course is comprised of real cases using real patients and their owners seen under the direct supervision of Diplomates of the ACVB. Course registrants will be responsible for history review, case assessment, treatment plan and follow-up, with the help of the Diplomate overseeing the case. Registrants will also be expected to bring one case and an accompanying video to present to the entire group. Detailed instructions for both the real and video cases will be distributed to registrants upon registration. Registrants will learn how to work with actual behavioral cases and elevate their behavioral diagnostic and treatment skills across a range of patient situations.
