 Continuing Education Credits Minimize
  • Each 50-minute session = 1 (one) CE credit hour 
  • Each 20-minute session = ½  (one-half) CE credit hour 
  •  A “Record of Participation in Continuing Education Programs” form is included in each registrants Welcome Bag fill this out for your records  Note: NAVC does not submit CE to state boards.  Submitting CE is the responsibility of the attendee. Please keep track of your sessions for your records. 
  • A Certificate of Attendance will be mailed after the Conference if you did not print it onsite.
  • Full Program provides 42.5 hours of RACE approved CE for DVMs and interns
  • One-day DVM and Techs can receive up to 10 CE hours
  • Two-day DVM and Techs can receive  up to 20 CE hours
  • Students do NOT receive a certificate of attendance nor do they receive CE credits
  • Persons working the conference who are also DVM's or Tech's will not automatically receive Certificate of Attendance, please ask your NAVC contact for details.

After each meeting, place the filled-out record of participation in a file along with registration receipts, program information and notes.  Documentation of this type for license renewal and tax deduction purpose is similar.

The individual licensed veterinarian is responsible for the accuracy of his or her CE records.  A license renewal form is a legal document that cannot be falsified without risking the loss of one’s license.

Every 50 minutes of participation in the scientific session of an NAVC Conference is worth one hour of credit for license renewal purposes and every 12 minute (Clinical Briefs) session is worth 0.25 hour of credit.  See the NAVC program book for the total number of CE hours available.
